Graduated from Kent State in Dec. 1972 and went to work as a flight attendant for United Airlines.  Got married, had one daughter (now 28), got divorced and continued flying for over 13 years.  Left the airlines in 1986 and moved from Akron, Ohio to Albuquerque, NM in 1988.  Met my current husband the 1st week in ABQ and married in 1992...still married this time and my daughter, Kendra, moved to Tampa, Florida and started The Hooker Tea Company.  I travel back and forth quite a bit to visit her and my dad and step mom (who are living in Lakeland, FL).

My husband, Neil Colella, grew up in Staten Island (17 miles as the crow flies from Nutley) but we both had to move to New Mexico before meeting.  We live in a very Southwest style home on one acre near the Rio Grande River.  My passion is horses and I have 2 on the property.  I go trail riding and work with the "Backcounty Horsemen".  We go out into the mountains and wilderness and keep trails clear for hikers etc.  Neil and I have gone back to school and are taking "fun" classes like bellydancing (me), fitness training (us) and cabinet making (him).  Oh, we started investing in real estate in 1999 and have been able to "semi retire", living off the income from 16 rental properties.  I work 1.5 days a week at a nearby animal hospital...mostly for fun and to help support my "animal" habit...we have 2 horses, 2 dogs, 3 chickens and 1 cat.  (I'd have more, but Neil keeps me "reined in").
