General observations:
Nutley was by far the best place to grow up. I think back to my
childhood and have the greatest memories. The Strawberry Festival at
Spring Garden School was the highlight of the year. "Luncheon" Birthday
parties were always a hit. Summers at Nichols park flew by. Having my
"toast & jelly" every morning waiting for Trish to walk to school. Heading
to Franklin School I remember reading the homeroom list and oh so happy to
be in the same homeroom as Gary Milano. Wasn't I surprised when
Mr.Gilligan was the principal, lived just down Prospect St from me, and
was good friends with my parents. Of all the luck. Lots of changes in 7th
and 8th grade. New faces, new friends, new experiences. Wouldn't have
missed any of it. I met my husband in 1973, married him in 1974, and have
been blessed with a lot of wonderful years and look forward to many more.
My children are everything to me, and now with 4 Grandchildren, life is
really sweet. Although I've been away from Nutley since soon after
graduation I still hold my memories dear and keep them alive by staying in
touch with as many Nutley folks as I can.
