| The Club would like to thank the
Reverend Jim Bimbi and his wife Cynde for a great time this past weekend.
We started the trip by meeting Jim at Long Wood Gardens in Pennsylvania
yesterday afternoon. Although in was in the mid 90's we were able to enjoy
sharing some laughs and anecdotes about Nutley days and there after.
Saturday night we enjoyed the Cowtown Rodeo in Pilesgrove NJ, which Vicky
Chalk rates with a rodeo she attended down in Texas some years ago while
living in San Antonio. Sunday morning we attended services at St.James
Church Mill Creek located in Wilmington Delaware. It was one of the most
interesting events in the five years I have been catching up with former
friends and classmates. There we were sitting in one of the oldest
churches,1714, in America listening to the same person who gave us our
morning announcements in High School, one of my basketball teammates.
Besides giving an excellent sermon, which included we attending
classmates, Jim played the guitar and sang. It was easy to see why we
voted this guy president of our Student Council. He was able to make some
solid points on life as it should be and managed to get his audience
laughing on several occasions. It was one of the fastest hours I have
spent in a house of the Lord. After the service the congregation
socialized in front of the church for awhile. We got to tour the building
and the grounds. Then it was over to Jim and Cynde's for a great lunch
before heading back home. In case you were wondering about Jim Bimbi, he
is doing great down in Delaware.
